The Conundrum
Our engineer client had outgrown their outdated accounting software. It did not provide the essential information needed to run their business or payroll efficiently. The accounting software required a lot of administration time to enter data manually. Mangers required custom financial reports of their responsible departments to ensure they kept to their KPI targets. This was not achievable using the current software. There were no integrations available with banks or their engineering programs. Obtaining approval for paying expenses consisted of printed reports and awaiting signatures from managers. The entire process was tedious and time consuming. As their business continues to grow, they needed accounting software that provides reliable financial insights.
The Solution
The solution was to convert their outdated software to Xero and to training the staff on how to use the software. Our engineer client required meticulous expertise due to the sheer volume and complexity of the financial data. It was imperative to import the full financial year’s data into Xero for their custom reporting objectives. Projects were partially invoiced due to various stage completion and details were paramount. Many of their employees live in rural areas with salary sacrifice arrangements.
