Meet Leigh Cummings
Leigh’s logical mindset has been a strength throughout her career. She has an ability to look at a business, understand what it needs and see the practical way forward. Her methodical approach helps her work through complex issues, while her willingness to embrace change means she isn’t afraid to question how things are being done.
With more than 20 years of practical business experience, Leigh brings together accounting knowledge, commercial understanding and extensive experience with business systems and processes. She has worked with businesses ranging from growing owner-led organisations through to established companies with internal accounting and management teams, both in Australia and internationally.
Leigh enjoys working through complexity, collaborating with the people inside a business and finding practical ways to improve how things work. Her experience allows her to move comfortably between the detail and the bigger picture, whether working with an accounting team, management or other advisers involved in the business.
Leigh is a Registered BAS Agent and holds a Certificate IV in Accounting. She has also successfully built, grown and sold her own bookkeeping business, bringing first-hand experience of running and growing a business to her consulting work.
Outside work, Leigh enjoys tennis, walking and bike rides around Newcastle’s beaches, and spending time with family and friends.
